VB Tera® Site Surfacing is a robust and durable solution, which requires hardly any maintenance and is suitable for a wide range of site surfacing situations. Van Berlo offers comprehensive solutions from engineering to execution and delivery.
APPLICATION
Outdoors as a floor in loading and unloading docks, outdoor storage and transport roads.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
VB Tera® site surfacing is designed for maximum functionality and minimal maintenance. Joint-free floors inherently suffer from crazing and shrinkage cracks. However, these imperfections are acceptable, as they do not adversely affect a floor’s functionality. The application of concrete that is resistant to frost and de-icing salts cannot prevent erosion of the surface. Depending on the degree of exposure to frost and de-icing salts, the concrete surface always remains susceptible to scaling, which changes its appearance. In terms of structure and functionality, this has no adverse effects on the floor. In order to prevent puddles forming, any slope to gutters or drains must have an inclination of at least 15 mm/m. The best results are obtained when Van Berlo’s installation instructions are followed.
NORMAL MAINTENANCE
VB Tera® site surfacing is a low-maintenance concrete floor with few joints. Repairs of imperfections are only necessary if these hinder normal use of the floor, and are part of its normal maintenance.
